DELAWARE BOAT RAMP CERTIFICATES

ANNUAL FEE: $35.75 (LISTED FEE INCLUDES MANDATORY LICENSE FEE & AGENT'S FEE )

This certificate enables any out-of-state registered vessel to access Delaware waters from any one of 51 State-Owned boat ramp facilities.
NOTE: Boats registered in Delaware do not require this ramp certificate and may access State ramps at no cost.

PAPERWORK REQUIREMENTS:

  1. A current out-of-state boat registration card. A Ramp Certificate can not be issued to a boat owner with an expired registration card.

  2. A boat ramp decal will be issued and should be affixed to the transom of the boat

NEW CASTLE COUNTY BOAT RAMPS (9)
  1. Christina River - Stanton Industrial Park Complex
  2. Christina River - near Newport, adjacent to Churchman's Road (Delaware 58).
  3. Becks Pond - east of Glasgow off old U.S. 40 at Salem Church Road (County Road 48).
  4. Delaware City - east side of Delaware 9, Fort DuPont State Park
  5. Augustine Beach - one mile south of Port Penn on Delaware Route 9.
  6. Lums Pond State Park about three miles south of Glasgow, on the east side of U.S. 301 /Del. 896.
  7. Silver Run Creek - south of Port Penn approximately 2.5-3 miles on Del. 9. (Unimproved ramp with limited parking.)
  8. Appoquinimink River - east of Odessa on Delaware 299. (Unimproved ramp with limited parking.)
  9. Collins Beach (Cedar Swamp Wildlife Area) - northeast of Smyrna off Delaware 9; take County Road 491 to County Road 493 then left until 493  deadends.

KENT COUNTY BOAT RAMPS (18)

  1. Lake Como - Smyrna; south of town on Route 13; town permit required for launching; available at City Police Department.
  2. Garrison Lake - about 3.5 miles south of Smyrna on Route 13.
  3. Port Mahon - east of Little Creek; take County Road 82 east of Delaware 9 to
    end of road.
  4. Silver Lake - Dover, launch area off Kings Highway. City permit required; available from City Police Department.
  5. Moores Lake - near Dover, about I mile south of the junction of Routes 13 and 113A on 113A (South State Street Extended).
  6. Derby Pond - about 4 miles south of Camden on Route 13A.
  7. Mud Mill Pond - take Delaware 10 to Willow Grove, then west at Willow Grove on County Road 207 approximately 6 miles.
  8. St. Jones Landing - about 3 miles south of Dover Air Force Base on Country Road 364 off southbound Route 113.
  9. St. Jones River - Dover, near the Legislative Hall complex (car top facility only).
  10. McGinnis Pond -south of Little Heaven about 1 mile off U.S. 113. Go left on County Road 371 to County Road 378, then left for about 1/2 mile.
  11. Andrews Lake - about 1.5 miles west of Frederica on County Road 380.
  12. Coursey Pond - southeast of Canterbury about 4 miles on Delaware 15.
  13. McColley's Pond - southeast of Canterbury about 6 miles on Delaware 15 (car top only, limited parking).
  14. Killens Pond State Park - near Felton; take Route 13 to County Road 384, then west on 384; follow signs (unimproved ramp).
  15. Tub Mill Pond - about 2 miles north of Milford; off southbound Route 113 via
    County Road 119.
  16. Haven Lake - near Milford; from Route 113 west on Delaware 14 to County Road 443; less than 1 mile to sign.
  17. Griffiths Lake - near Milford; from Route 113 west on Delaware 14 to County Road 443; about 1 mile west on C.R. 443 to sign.
  18. Blairs Pond - near Milford; from U.S. 113 west on Delaware 14 to County Road 443; approximately 2.5 miles on C.R. 443 to sign.

SUSSEX COUNTY BOAT RAMPS (24)

  1. Abbott Pond - near Milford; from Route 113 west on Delaware 36 to County Road 620, Right on 620 approximately 1 mile to sign.
  2. Cedar Creek - near Milford; south on Delaware 1 to Delaware 36, then east to County Road 203 (approximately 4 1/2 miles) to County Rood 203; look for sign.
  3. Waples Pond - near Milford, south on Delaware 1 approximately 8 miles. Pond on each side of the highway, unimproved ramp.
  4. Wagamon Pond - Milton, ramp located on Mulberry Street at spillway (unimproved at this time, scheduled for upgrading).
  5. Broadkill River - Milton; downtown business section, east of
    Union Street.
  6. Ingram Pond - near Millsboro; take Delaware 24 west from Millsboro to County Road 328A, then right on 328A approximately one mile to sign.
  7. Lewes - within business section on Pilottown Rood.
  8. Nanticoke River -Seaford; city ramp, downtown section.
  9. Craigs Pond - near Seaford; west on Delaware 20 approximately 2 miles to County Road 556; take left, look for sign in about 1 mile.
  10. Hearns Pond - near Seaford; approximately 2 miles north of the Route 13A Delaware 20 junction.
  11. Chipmans Pond - near Laurel; Route 13 north from Delaware 24 to County Road 466. Right on C.R. 466 to C.R. 465, approximately 1 mile to sign.
  12. Records Pond - near Laurel; take Route 13 north from Delaware 24; approximately
    1 mile to sign.
  13. Horsey Pond - Laurel; about 1 mile west of downtown business area on
    Delaware 24.
  14. Portsville Pond - near Portsville; approximately 3 miles west of Laurel on County Road 492.
  15. Tussock Pond - near Laurel; from downtown business area west on Delaware 24 to County Road 494; take a right and look for sign in about 3 miles (car top only).
  16. Phillips Landing - about 3 miles from Laurel; take County Road 492 to County Road 493 to County Road 496. Approximately 2 miles to end of road.
  17. Trap Pond - approximately 5 miles east of Laurel on Delaware 24; follow signs.
  18. Trussum Pond - near Laurel; east on County Road 462 from Route 13; approximately 3 miles to sign (car top only).
  19. Millsboro Pond - immediately north of Millsboro on Delaware 30 from Delaware 24.
  20. Rosedale Beach - near Millsboro; take Delaware 24 east from town approximately 4 miles to County Road 313, then right on 313 to sign.
  21. Assawoman Wildlife Area - near Bethany Beach; from Route 1 take Delaware 26 west to County Road 361, go left on C.R. 361 then fight at C.R. 363 and left on C.R. 364; follow signs to Assawoman Wildlife Area. Stop at headquarters for directions to Sassafras Landing (unimproved romp); Strawberry Landing (unimproved ramp); or Mulberry Landing (improved romp and pier).
  22. Holts Landing State Park - near Millville on Delaware 26; follow signs to park.
  23. Delaware Seashore State Park - off Delaware 1 at the park's Indian River Marina; next to the bait and tackle shop; a fee is charged.
  24. Fenwick Island State Park - bayside just south of South Bethany Beach off Delaware 1; unmarked did parking lot and unimproved ramp.
