RESIDENT
HUNTING LICENSE
|
|
|
- Resident
hunting licenses are required for persons 15 years or older
and under the age of 65 (15-64 years old). A hunting license
is required for hunting small game, migratory birds and deer.
- Migratory
Waterfowl hunters are also required to purchase a State
Waterfowl Stamp (available at Eastern Marine) and a Federal
Waterfowl Stamp (available at the Post Office). Eastern Marine
does not sell Federal Waterfowl Stamps.
- RESIDENCY
REQUIREMENTS:
The applicant must have reside continuously in the State of
Delaware for at least one year prior to the time of
application.
Exceptions
to Resident Licensing Requirements
Residents
of Delaware who are 65 years old or older are not required to obtain
a hunting license.
Residents
under 15 years of age may hunt without a license when accompanied by
a person 18 years or older and who is the lawful holder of a hunting
license or has a lawful right to hunt.
Any
resident of Delaware who owns or resides on a farm in this
state containing 20 acres or more may hunt on said farm
without being licensed.
Any
resident living in Delaware for at least one year prior to the date
of application for a hunting license and who has been honorably
discharged from the Armed Forces and is certified by the Veterans'
Administration as having at least a 60% service connected disability
is exempt from the hunting license requirements

2.

NON-RESIDENT
HUNTING LICENSE
|
|
|
- Any
person who is not a resident of Delaware and is 15 years of age
or older must purchase a non-resident hunting license to hunt in
the State of Delaware. An applicant born after January 1, 1967
must present evidence that he or she has completed a Hunter
Safety Course.
- Non-Residents
may hunt liberated game on regulated shooting preserve when it
is lawful to do so. A special permit to hunt on shooting
preserve is required. It does not substitute for a hunting
license required to hunt anywhere other than on a regulated
shooting preserve wild game.

3 DAY
NON-RESIDENT SMALL GAME LICENSE
|
|
|
Available
for any person who is not a resident of Delaware and is 15 years of
age or older wanting to hunt small game. (not valid for deer or
turkey). This license may only be used for three consecutive days.

Non-Residents
other than aliens who are under 15 years of age may hunt without a
license in the State when accompanied by a person 18 years of age or
older, and who is lawful holder of a hunting license or has a lawful
right to hunt.

STATE
STAMP
Residents and Non-Residents who have purchased Delaware Hunting
Licenses also must purchase a State Waterfowl Stamp to hunt
migratory birds in the State of Delaware. Brochures outlining
waterfowl seasons and bag limits are available at Eastern
Marine.

FEDERAL
STAMP
A Federal Migratory Bird Hunting Stamp is required for any
person 16 years of age or older to hunt waterfowl. Stamps are
sold at Post Offices. No exemptions are made for persons 65
years or older. Federal Waterfowl Stamps are not available at
Eastern Marine.

HARVEST
INFORMATION PROGRAM
In order to hunt waterfowl in Delaware, Resident &
Non-Resident hunters are required to have a Harvest Information
Program (HIP) Number. This number can be obtained by calling
1-800-WETLANDS.

|
DEER
HUNTING PERMITS - Resident & Non-Resident
|
|
|
- QUALITY
BUCK TAG
This tag allows hunters to obtain a bonus Antlered Buck having
an outside spread of at least 15 inches. Hunters wishing to
purchase this license must present a valid Delaware Hunting
License (back cardboard copy). Only one Quality Buck Tag may be purchased per license
year. This tag is valid only when accompanied by a current
Delaware Hunting License or used by a hunter not requiring a
Delaware Hunting License.
- ANTLER
LESS DEER PERMIT
This permit allows hunters to obtain one bonus deer having no antlers or each antler less than 3 inches long.
Hunters may purchase as many permits as they want. This permit
is valid only when accompanied by a current Delaware Hunting
License or used by a hunter not requiring a Delaware Hunting
License.

HUNTER
SAFETY CERTIFICATION
|
|
|
- Any
person born after January 1, 1967 must present a State issued
numbered card identifying that person as having completed Hunter
Safety Training Course requirements in order to obtain a hunting
license. This card is the only acceptable proof of completion of
the Hunter Safety Course. This "safe hunter number"
must be listed on the license in the space provided. For hunter
Safety Course information, an applicant or agent may call
the Enforcement Section of the Division at (302) 739-9913
- Persons
applying for a resident or nonresident license may use valid
Hunter Safety Cards from another State or Canadian Province.
Persons who lose their card may obtain a Delaware Hunter Safety
Card by contacting the Delaware
Division of Fish and Wildlife by mail or in person.
NOTE:
Persons under the age of 16 may not hunt with a firearm unless
accompanied by an adult.
- State
of Delaware Hunter Safety Certification courses are not offered
at Eastern Marine. For more information contact Delaware

LOST OR
DAMAGED
|
|
|
If
you have lost or suffered damage to your hunting license, stamps or
permits... these cannot be replaced at Eastern Marine. Please
