- Sadly, I had to return. Review by Turnipseed
I purchased to upgrade the gas only heater in a vintage trailer. I was unable to remove the nipple to the drain valve and therefore couldn't install the heater without purchasing additional fittings. Because, the vintage heater was then contained in a metal box (with fiberglass insulation between that and the tank) I would have had to cut open the box in order to install the temperature probe. In order to do this, it would have been best to completely remove the old (70's) heater and if I am going to do that, I might as well upgrade the entire water heater to a new model. I wish I could have made it work.

- Very good part Review by Lew
I installed this in a propane/electric hot water heater as the heater element didn't work. It took about 10 minutes. It seems to be a good product. Has worked well for the last 2 weeks.

- Fantastic Product Review by Full Timer
I purchased this electric water heater conversion from this dealer and only took 2 hrs. and 15 min. to install, where previously I used propane and I stay at Army Corps of Engineers Parks, State Parks and Fed. Parks. Spending all that money on propane, it has been over a month now and have not spent a dime on propane. I did turn the temperature up to 130 deg. and have all the water I need to shower and do dishes. It paid for itself with just 6 or 7 small 20 lb. tanks. I would highly recomment this to anyone who does not have a electric water heater.
