Rating I would have given these a five star rating but the wheel cylinder is made of a cheap metal and stripped very easily when I cross threaded the brake line.

- Only way to go Review by Jim

Rating It was so easy to replace the old brakes with this complete setup. Perfect fit and easy to bleed. Riveted shoes are the only way to go as I have had the bonded type come apart , cause the wheel to lock up and blow tire. Best money spent and $200 less then brake repair place quoted.

Rating Can't believe it was that easy! For the cost, why even bother to change just the shoes because you can always expect the old brake cylinder to freeze up on you in a week or two after you put it back together! This replaces everything minus the drum, in the time you'd spend changing just the shoes! 4 bolts and you're done.

- Tiedown 10" Backing plates & Brake Assembly Review by Hank T.
-
Rating This item is a terrific opportunity to completly replace the brakes with out the piece by piece process. Just unbolt four bolts from the trailer axel and the brake line. Spin the brake line back on and bolt the plate (brakes and parts already mounted)back on the axel. Then bleed the brakes...You're done.
I rated it four stars, because I want to let time show me how well they hold up. In my situation, it is mostly weather. For simplicity...it's a five star product.(Posted on 11/10/10)
