- Looks like a great product but had to grind the pads Review by WJ
-
Rating Product looks Great.. in all respects. But - the outside brake pads were rubbing the hub - so I had to grind off the bottom of the outside pads for clearance. I called the MFG but no one could talk to me and no one returned my call.

- Not product fault Review by StreamFixer

Rating I have rebuilt several older auto's and been bleeding brakes much of my life (pushing 70). But for some reason I forgot the bleed is done by loosening the small nut, not the big one. Had a heck of a time bleeding the system.
Once the penny dropped, really easy.
All the parts are there. Only difficulty was getting the rusted old brake system off. Much easier to do if the boat is not on the trailer. Figure around an hour to install. Taking off the old parts - depends ;o)

- Very good product Review by Tom O

Rating I might have saved myself some time if I read the reviews before install! I too installed the backing plate incorrectly on the first side. the caliper will go on (not as easy as it should but it will go) but the alignment is off and causes bind. After staring at it I wound up taking the whole thing apart and reversing the plate and it worked perfectly. I was going to buy a kit that was offered but called for an opinion and was glad I did. I went with the Titan 60Z disc actuator and a line kit as per a T.P.S employee recommendation. I feel I saved some cash and got a better system. After a couple short test rides I was off on a 350 mile trip with total satisfaction. Thanks T.P.S.!

- Kodiak Brakes Review by Guest

Rating I also had problems with the instructions before finding the correct ones on the back of the box. Better to have NO instructions in the box rather than inadequate ones.
My brakes were shipped with a defective mounting plate, but Trailer Parts Superstore were very helpful in getting replacement parts for me from the manufacturer at no charge.(Posted on 10/8/11)
- Turn the box over Review by KRust
-
Rating The instruction book isnt clear but all the instructs needed are illustrated on the back of the box. Of course who would turn the box over and dump a couple of hundred dollars of parts on the floor. The guy who needed the shims and has the plate installed upside down. He should have turned the box over.

- Not very clear Review by tim
-
Rating I spent a few days installing these breaks as the instructions were not very clear. The kit should come with a shim kit. I had to place SS washers behind the plate to allow the calliper to drop into place. other than that not too bad. They work well. Need to have better pictures in the instructions.
