The backing plate and shoe levers of the PREMIER™ trailer brake have been protected against corrosion using a process so advanced, Titan backs this marine brake with a two-year limited warranty against operational failure caused by corrosion.
Better Than Galvanized
First, the backing plate and shoe levers are sealed using an electrocoat primer - a patented process that actually uses electricity to permanently bond the paint to the surface of the parts - then the backing plates receive an additional coat of rugged acrylic making them virtually corrosion-proof. The wheel cylinders are treated with hot black oxide, and the internal components are zinc, olive drab plated. Stainless steel springs complete the package.
The result is a marine brake so resistant to corrosion, even after 1,000 hours in metal-dissolving salt spray, the Galphorite treated parts show negligible corrosion. Galvanized parts are 100 percent corroded after only 300 hours in this same spray.
